Press Release
November 5, 2007

Festival director Mark Beliles announces the line-up for this year’s festival. The proven line-up of family favorites are still there that has made it a success for 14 straight years drawing thousands of people annually. But this year has two key changes: The parade has been expanded and moved to Friday night November 16th to kick off the whole weekend. The procession starts at the Ice Park and ends in the Pavilion where various activities take place. The second important change to the festival is the inclusion of light fare and special activities for kids at the Ball (which also comes with a modest admission fee for the first time). The original play that debuted last year is back again and the entire festival includes seasoned actors and musicians and dancers from throughout the mid-Atlantic region (along with many local amateurs). Performers are listed on the website. Major sponsors this year include the city of Charlottesville, the Daily Progress, Dailyprogess.com, NBC29, Albemarle Family Magazine and Grace Covenant Church.
